By uploading, entering, or submitting content, you represent that you own the content or have all necessary rights, licenses, and permissions to translate, adapt, process, and generate audio or other localized versions of the content.

You agree not to submit copyrighted, trademarked, or otherwise protected content without proper authorization. We may remove content or restrict access if we believe it violates intellectual property rights or our policies.

StorySmith translates stories and generates localized narration. Under U.S. copyright law, a translation is specifically listed as a derivative work, and copyright owners hold the exclusive right to authorize derivative works based on their work. Creating a translation or audio adaptation of protected content without permission may infringe those rights.

• Public-domain fables and folk tales
• Stories you wrote yourself
• Scripts or content you own
• Content you have a license or written permission to use

• Published children’s books
• Movie, cartoon, or other studio stories
• Paid course or subscription content
• Copyrighted rhymes or songs
• Scripts or articles from other creators or publishers
• “Translate this book into Telugu/Hindi” use cases without permission

Classic fables such as Aesop or the Panchatantra may be in the public domain in general, but a modern English retelling, translation, illustration, or narrationcan still be copyrighted. The safe standard is “public domain, or content you have the rights to use” — not simply “old stories are okay.”
